happy crafting,

I am so sad to see some of my favorite things retire... For these cards I used Pigment Sprinkles (149663) and the Breathtaking Bouquet stamp (151612)! If you want to view the video tutorial on how to make these check out my YouTube channel! https://youtu.be/gltifKxCF5w Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome to the blog hop for A Paper Pumpkin thing! It's such a pleasure to be part of this group! I was so excited about this kit- perfectly timed for our social distancing time and needing family cards!
The kit contained such cute elements and I love the simple fancy fold cards-- they really step up the projects! I also really love the center green piece that has the most lovely sentiment printed on it.
I wasn't sure I would have an extra project this month- I loved the kit as is and just couldn't think of an alternative, until I got Stampin' Up!'s COVID-19 Giveback PDF. For $12 you can download 15 pages of sweet and funny sentiment and images that relate to our time in self-isolation. 100% of the money that Stampin' Up! collects goes to either W.H.O. or United Way. You get to choose the charity or have them split it among the two charities. I used the sentiments on both of my projects this month! You can purchase it here (none of the money goes to back to us as Demonstrators either) and they have it in various languages too!
For my card I knew I wanted to feature the retiring Garden Lane Designer Series Paper. I cut a piece that was 12 inch by 4.5 inches and then scored it at 5.5 inches, 6 inches, and 6.5 inches. This leaves a tab in the middle, I felt like it would look like a "paper hug"! My sister in law has been self-isolating and having a hard time- so I think this card will cheer her up!
I stamped the leaf image on the front with Garden Green and the sentiment too!
Here you can see that small flap in the middle and how I printed and die cut with the Nested Labels Die the "Sending love & paper hugs" sentiment from the Giveback PDF.
Now for the project I pulled out something I had gotten at the Target dollar spot years ago and made a really cute little home decor piece for her so she knows she is loved! The tag is one of the images from the Giveback PDF as well!
Aren't these both really cute together?? I hope she will love them!
Refills of this kit are still available! And don't forget to keep hopping along on this awesome blog hop! Can't wait to see what everyone is up to!
Happy crafting, Melissa Welcome to another fantastic blog hop from your Stampin' Friends! This month we are focused on flowers and mom. I am so fortunate that my mother-in-law is on my Stampin' Up! team (so she loves my handmade cards) and my mom is an artist and avid card sender-- so my cards are always appreciated by them! This year for Mother's Day I am sending my mom these cards with some stamps slipped in there to make them easy to send. I wanted to teach my team how to make a One Sheet Wonder (OSW) so this is what they are all making this month too! Keep reading for a link on how to make this OSW yourself! This is a cool One Sheet Wonder because it makes the insert for the clear stamp case and six cards! I did use the free waterlily paper from Sale-a-bration but you could use any beautiful patterned piece of 12x12 inch papers to make these cards! I used the So Sentimental stamp set and stamped it all in Blackberry Bliss -- which I LOVE. Click below to see all the pretty cards. I kept the layers pretty basic, but you could add layers if you wanted to! If you would like the detailed instructions on how to make this, click here! And don't forget to to keep hopping along with all of our other Stampin' Friends!
In these days of physical distancing and self-isolation, please make sure to connect with each other- leave me a note in the comments! Tell me how you are! Join my Wednesday night Facebook Lives! Send a card to someone! This week my special for placing an order with the hostess code UVARCMBN is two week's worth of make n takes, because my daughter designed last week's and is trying to earn enough Stampin' Rewards to get her some "learning at home" Stampin' Up! supplies- like snips and tear n tape!! Help this mama stay sane! Happy crafting, Melissa
What a cute kit we got this month! I knew when I saw this kit I wanted to incorporate the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper with its adorable raindrops and umbrellas!
The boots stamped up so cute on the Petal Pink gingham! I even fussy cut them!! (Which I hate to do, but... totally worth it.) They look so cute on the raindrop background on the gold pizza box! This is going to make a great neighbor gift for this week as we all deal with shelter in place. What a month...
I felt like this one card was a little too dark- given our current situation, so I tried to make it a bit sunnier by sponging some Daffodil Delight in the corner and adding an umbrella flying away.
Here are both the projects together! Seriously such a cute kit and so well timed. I wish you all better times. May we get through this all.... with prayers for your well being and sanity!
I hope you loved these project and keep hopping along to see other wonderful projects!
Happy crafting, Melissa
I haven't been this excited about a Paper Pumpkin in a long time... February's Paper Pumpkin was called Lovely Day (refills are still available for Paper Pumpkin subscribers!)
What's really fun is that the stamps help to complete or "fill in" some of the pre-printed images- like the flower outline completes the already watercolored image and the three stripes help fill in the cake!
I really love the envelopes, the copper thickers, and the pretty shiny pink sequins!
These projects came together really easy -- partly because I found some inspirational pieces. The first was a fun giftcard from Starbucks that had the EXACT same stripe colors as the card and envelope liner! I knew I wanted to make a fun giftcard holder but still make it mailable.
I trimmed the card to 4 3/4 inches long, added the Pretty Peacock tab punched piece, and stamped the cake a little different... I used the stamps to "fill" the cake and just stamped off once on my grid paper to create the lighter "LOVELY"!
For the card, I used a small piece of a special paper that everyone will have access to on March 3rd! It's called Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper and you can earn it for FREE with a $50 order. I colored the flower with a few Blend markers (Rich Razzleberry, Petal Pink, and Old Olive). I love all that shimmer and shine!
Here are the two projects together!!
Don't forget to keep hopping along...
And maybe consider subscribing to Paper Pumpkin for March-- you get an extra stamp set on top of the normal one- as we celebrate one more year of Paper Pumpkin!!
Happy crafting, Melissa
What an adorable kit we got this month! I love bees (Melissa means honeybee in Greek) and it is so amazing that it coordinates with our heart punch pack! I can't wait to make more Valentine's this week (with my 4th grade mentees in Papercrafting Club) and net week (with my senior center class)!
First, I wanted to use the cute heart stamp image to decorate the top of our Heart Foil Tins (151190) along with the Heart Doilies (151191)! These are going to make a great gifts for the teachers-- once I bake something in them yummy- like Cinnamon Zucchini bread! [I also punched a small flower from the new coordinating paper- Pleased as Punch- that is coming out next week-- and added some Wink of Stella!]
But I was even more excited by the great use that we found for the cute little notecards! My daughter got so excited to invite her Girl Scout sister over to make these into invitations to their Galentine's Tea (so they can earn their Social Butterfly badge)! We used the So Inviting stamp set (151485) to make the invitation part-- so fun!
Look how the invitation part fit perfectly inside the notecard!!!
Here is a look at the two projects together! I really do love this kit... I hope you do too!
Keep hopping along and check out everyone's awesome projects! This is a stellar group of crafty peeps!
Happy crafting, Melissa Welcome to another year of Stampin' Friends-- new and old. I love the Girl Scout song "Make New Friends".. make new friends and keep the old... It's so great to welcome new crafty bloggers to our hop each year and this year is no different! We have a fun new lineup of themes and this month we are off to a great start-- birthdays! Everyone needs birthday cards, right? I was excited to find a way to bring my love of stamping to my day job! I work for an ed tech company and we are having our company retreat this next weekend-- so I am bringing a bunch of supplies to 100 birthday cards for foster kids in Gainesville, FL! I had a ton of fun designing a quick notecard with the Birthday Bonanza suite! The cute toucan is stamped with memento ink and then colored with the blend markers (Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, and Cajun Craze). I also used the FREE sequins and metallic twine from Sale-a-bration! This is a busy month for us-- as Jonathan and Marianne's birthdays are this month! So, I know I will need some birthday thank you tags for treats! Seriously, the koala is so cute and easy to stamp! I love the large label die in the Birthday Bonanza set of dies. The sentiment is from a set that I hope never goes away... All Things Thanks!! These are some pretty fun and easy projects! Don't forget to keep hopping along and why not leave a comment below if you love these projects? Tell me what's your favorite guy from this stamp set- the toucan, koala, or the lion?
And if you are local to central Texas, why not come to one of my classes? We are focusing on birthdays this month since it's the perfect month to get ahead for all that are to come in 2020! Happy crafting, Melissa
Thanks for joining us for our late December blog hop and happy 2020! May Paper Pumpkin bring you lots of happiness in the new year... December 2019's kit was an amazing value, with 12 full sized cards and truly, Something for Everything.
I loved that the cards were full color, front and back. Plus the gold foil stickers added a beautiful touch!
I had fun using mainly the stamp set and some extra paper to create this card! The Beautiful Friendship stamp set (Item # 149252) has some flowers that coordinate perfectly with this kit and I stamped them in coordinating colors-- Crushed Curry, Grapefruit Grove, and Old Olive. The background was created using Terracotta Tile ink on Calypso Coral cardstock.
My 3D project is a quick "sour cream" style container made with a 6x6 inch piece of the In-Color Designer Series Paper (Item # 149618) where you seal the back and the bottom with Tear n Tape and then use a tag from an older kit to seal it up!
Don't forget to keep hopping along to see what everyone else has created-- this is seriously the best set of designers I know!! I am so honored to be hopping with them! And scroll down for a fun opportunity to craft from me...

Happy crafting, Melissa Stamp Ink and Paper has weekly challenges which are always fun! This week's challenge was thankful and I couldn't wait to enter this giftcard holder in the challenge. They pick winners each week! I had fun using a Real Red base and then stamping and embossing with the Gather Together bundle on the See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper. I love the the sentiment from the Country Home Photopolymer stamp set and thought it filled the front of the card well. Plus, a little bit of the Magnolia Lane ribbon and a little Leaves Trinket finish the card off nicely.
Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving and are finding something to be thankful for this holiday season! Happy crafting, Melissa
Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop! I am so excited about this kit- it's gorgeous! I cannot wait to make gorgeous tags for all of Marianne's teacher gifts-- there are like 15 in total, including her dyslexia reading specialist, main teachers, librarian, principal, past teachers, special area teachers, etc... It's quite the list and I think they will love these!
But... I have some fun alternate projects too! I really love it when we are given tags sets because then my imagination runs wild. (Did you know that if you subscribe NOW to Paper Pumpkin, you can get a refill or full kit of Winter Gifts? Only subscribers can get past kits though.)
So... up first is my alternate card! I used a Pool Party base and most of the tree tag- including tearing the base rectangle in half to make the snow drifts at the bottom. I also used a liberal dose of the Snow Puff Paint we have now-- it's so fun to use and watch grow snow!!
Here's another angle that shows the snow...
And my 3-D project is a cute container that I have been keeping for just this purpose... I wrapped the base in Perfectly Plaid DSP and then added the Shaded Spruce Stitched Circle piece to the top...
So, what do we think? Not bad huh? It's an amazing kit. I am so sorry that it has been months since I blogged-- this fall was crazy busy. I have been keeping my Instagram and Facebook up to date-- so if you aren't following me there, please consider it!
You can check out all the other hoppers here!
Also, have you seen the December kit? It has all-occasion stamp set and will make 12 full sized cards! I am so excited that I am hosting an in-person and a Zoom crafting session for all my subscribers! Subscribe now!! Don't miss out!
