Imagine drinking a cup of coffee on this back porch... while you take a break from crafting! Candy Rattray and I are hosting an EPIC craft retreat at the end of April and we want you to join us. I want to show you some more details about the location but if you want to catch the early bird special (runs out February 15th) for only $265 register here! Camp Young Judea is not like any other youth camp you have seen... This camp has a beautiful building for adults towards the front of the property... And we are self-contained in one building-- so our bedrooms are on the wings of our meeting room, which means you can run around in your pajamas! LOL! Each room has a private bath room and sleeps two or three people. Everything is new, light, and bright! No need to pack much... other than crafting supplies, of course! The meeting room we have is filled with natural sunlight but also has wifi and great lighting for late-night crafting! Everyone will have dedicated space to craft! Plus, the chef will be preparing delicious meals for us and there is a healthy salad bar at lunch and dinner! Five meals are included with your registration, plus a welcome reception and a light snack as you leave on Sunday... We've got a few surprises for you too!! Plus, see that bar area? It's a great place for us to set up our two Big Shots and punch station! Plus, a 24 hour beverage station! Your registration also includes a $40 swag bag, pillow gifts, and a class built around the swag bag-- oriented towards either memory keepers or card makers! Plus, so many other fun things- like a scrap challenge, pajama party, and other contests!
So, please register soon-- space is limited! Happy crafting, Melissa

Welcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop! I am so excited to be invited back for another year of hopping! I apparently took a long winter's nap and have finally emerged from my cocoon. I promise to blog more this year!!! This month’s theme is love or Valentine's. If you’re following along the hop, you’ve arrived from Stacey’s blog. Don’t forget to click the Next button at the bottom to continue on the hop with Kim’s blog. Let's get into my projects! I was inspired by some 3x3 notecards we made at OnStage Local in Phoenix this fall... I am also super excited about the Watercolor Pencils (so much so that I am doing a class on them in February)! And the project is something that I am going to adapt for my daughter's birthday in a few weeks-- at the movie theater!
This cute box is made with the Popcorn Box thinlit dies and the coordinating stamp set. I was working on treat bags for my daughter's 8th birthday party when I got inspired. (Marianne is so excited to have a "movie party"!) I also used the Stitched Shapes Framelit dies on the black cardstock. I think this looks super sophisticated-- make sure you come back next week to see how I convert this into kiddie cute!! I really do love heat embossing... Don't you? I stamped the edge in black, then heat embossed the gold, then punched out the inner circle. The white vines were made with the white craft ink-- I have learned to be patient with letting it dry and it really comes out great! Don’t forget to click Next to follow along on the blog. See below for a list of all bloggers and a giveaway that I am doing personally!
Thank you for much for hopping with us! If you comment below I will select a winner to be sent a special little treat in the mail. And keep coming back to the blog-- I've got a cute bonus project for this month's Paper Pumpkin and of course-- Marianne's birthday party treat boxes! Happy crafting, Melissa |
